Great experience at Momotaro! Every dish was expertly crafted to perfection and every detail was well thought out. Everything came out promptly and at the right temperature. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great ambiance. The service was a little slower than I would have expected for such an expensive high end restaurant but when we did receive service it was wonderful. Will definitely be back again!

This is a long one I'll provide a TLDR at the bottom if you want to skip. Atmosphere: Very fancy dim lit area but the music does not fit the vibe AT ALL. I'm not trying to listen to rock or sabrina carpenter while enjoying a cozy nigiri or something. I recommend some sort of either jazz or more classical asian choices. Food: The food doesn't seem overly priced but the portions are tiny. I recommend eating something light before so you don't need to order as much. The Sakegria drink was filled maybe an inch high and the rest was just ice cubes. The dango and rolls were so good, but laughably small when they first hit our table (we thought they were the apps we ordered). I will say though the fish was phenomenal. The spaghetti curry is good, okay sized, not bad for the price at all. The Mapo tofu and Chahan were the only two dishes that we got that were well sized. The Chahan was a bit dry and the tofu in the mapo tofu wasn't silken as I would like it to be. Pork in the tofu were really fatty chunks, tasty but just fat. Vegetarian menu is spectacular. The shitake mushroom maki roll and noodles were some of the best dishes there in my opinion. The authentic wasabi on the side is a nice touch though I'm not a huge fan of wasabi. The negima is a nice skewer to get, though after a few bites it just starts to taste like normal chicken, nothing outstanding there. Service: They provide a vegetarian menu which is awesome for my friend who can't eat meat. Service was super nice and helpful when it came to navigating the menu though, making sure our waters were always maintained. TLDR: - Great service - Small portions - Decent food: shitake + tuna rolls, vegetarian noodles stood out - Pricey because you will probably need to order several dishes to fill up - Intimate atmosphere but the music ruins it

My husband and I had a fabulous time! We had 2 drink, 2 rolls, 1 Miso & the Chicken/Steak skewers and it was always delicious. Our waters were constantly refilled, our waitress was lovely and the place was inviting/clean/fun! We look forward to telling our friends/family back in Florida about this place! - Catherine

Excellent service paired with Japanese fair served tapas style. Most dishes are good for splitting amongst a pair or a quad, though some can get pricey as they only have a single serving. We were able to do a walk in, but it's much more preferred to get reservations.

Incredible sushi! All the dishes we got were very dedicated served - multiple layers of flavors and cooked just perfectly. Also the ube coconut lime beverage we got was surprisingly good

Our family had an excellent experience at Momotaro! Paul was our server and he knew the menu exceptionally well. He provided recommendations that were spot-on, and he took the time to thoroughly explain each section of the menu. For the cold dishes, the Momo to Buri was the standout. In the hot dishes, we loved the Tsukune Dango, and the rice Chahan dish was fantastic. We also ordered three sushi rolls (Karai Tuna, Kani Jomaki, and Shio Koji Sake) and all were excellent. We would reorder all our food again. We were seated on the second floor, a loft-like space with only a handful of tables. It was spacious, comfortable, and had a low noise level. As we were leaving, we noticed the main floor was a bit louder, so we were grateful for our upstairs seating. We had an early 5pm reservation before heading to a 7pm Blackhawks game, and the timing worked out perfectly. We were not rushed and had a great meal. We would return and ask our server for more recommendations on our next visit!

It’s our second time having lunch here at Momotaro and we loved it!! Garrett was above and beyond and recommended the best dishes. We loved the salmon dip with crispy nori and momo bentos! Also Hina made the most delicious espresso martinis. Friday lunch at Momotaro is our new tradition.

Lily was an amazing server for our party of 7. She suggested great drinks, appetizers, food, and desserts. She was able to accommodate us all without hesitation. The food was fresh and appreciated the flavors. Again can’t stress enough how amazing Lily was. The one star off was for the Octopus which was so hard to eat it hurt my jaw. Besides that great experience.
